  The idea of having model houses using different technology is great, but speaking of it as an innovation park that is open to public - well I'm very disappointed to how its being managed. I arranged the technical visit for my student whom I am supervising for his MPhil and went there with the student and my colleague. We were excited to see the development of innovative technologies but when we arrived, at BRE reception (that is also the reception for the park) we were given badges and were free to roam by ourselves. We booked for technical visit asking for someone to assist us on the technical aspect but that was totally ignored.
  
  Audio guide which was installed in our phones were used. We went to the visitor centre - as the starting point. clueless. then there was another group of Chinese visitors and an English man came in - had a meeting there and asked us to leave. That is not a problem, the problem is, the management. If the building is to be used/booked by someone for a meeting why don't they put a notice at the door ? It was like a visit to empty houses. The audio guide tell you in brief about the technologies used but as a team of research engineers we purposely went there for the technical part. There were posters in the houses giving the brief explanation again. When we asked the receptionist how can we get the technical data or information of technologies that we are interested in, they told us to email them. Then when I emailed yesterday asking if I can get in contact with the technical person, surprisingly, the reply was so daft. Not even answering to my question but exactly the same email when I did the booking for the visit. as if they don't even read the email but copy pasted the answer. very disappointing.
